A gallery of 150 quilts will be shown for competitive viewing.  A collection of fall themed table décor and a display of the Guild’s Comfort Quilts will be enjoyed by visitors to the event.  Heritage Quilters sew all year long to make quilts that benefit adults and children helped by over 20 local organizations.  Other quilted items such as totes and clothing will be displayed as well.

Shown above is the Annual Raffle Quilt for 2017 is “Cactus Wreath”.  This queen-sized quilt features a Southwest theme motif in Christmas fabrics.  Tickets are on sale now through the quilt show priced at $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.  A quilt rack is included.  The drawing for the quilt is held in November 2017 at a general meeting of the Guild.  Proceeds are used to support the education program and activities of the Guild.

Visitors to the Quilt Show are invited to speak to two featured quilt artisans; Dorothy Scrivner of Crown Point and Sharon Zygmunt of Kouts.  Each quilter will have a body of work on display showing diverse techniques and possibilities in sewing and quilting arts.

Excitement continues throughout the event with quilt demonstrations, daily basket drawings, and a free door prize for attendees while supplies last.

Vendors will be selling a wide variety of quilt and sewing related supplies and services at the show.  Merchants include:  Cotton Cottage Quilts of Valparaiso;  Fox Farmhouse Quilting of Lowell;  Joan’s Flat Folds of Valparaiso;  Quilted Glo of Indianapolis area;  Scrapyard Quilt Shop of Wanatah;  Stitch ‘N Time Fabrics of South Bend;  Sweet Stitches Quilt Shop of Chesterton.
Joining them will be Cynthia Varnado of Chicago (wool repurposing);  John Supan & Associates of Crown Point (sewing machine cleaning & repair, scissor sharpening);  Accomplish Quilting of St. Joseph, MI (Innova brand longarm sewing machine dealer, thread sales);  Needle Artisans of Northwest Indiana (second hand new and gently used needle art supplies and finished items).

Food concessions are provided by Comfort’s Catering of Saint John.
